We try to save every life we can - If you see or secure a stray or injured cat, please reach out to see if we have availability to rescue them. If you are trapping a stray cat, always make sure to have a plan of action on where to take them before trapping.

At KSCR we do not judge or discriminate. If you or someone you love is experiencing a situation that needs help (i.e cat hoarding, unable to feed their cats, hospice, etc) please reach out. We try our best to help all situations, and can always lead you in the right direction.
We are currently prioritizing intake on pregnant cats or mama cats and kittens. Our mission is to help decrease the stray cat population, and fixing mama cats and their kittens is the best way to do this.

If you have an unfixed cat, the Humane Society of Kitchener/Waterloo offers low cost spay and neuter clinics that open on the 1st of every month. Please check out their website for help.
Whenever we get large donations of wet food, we distribute it to other rescues, colony caretakers, and community members who need help feeding strays. We will post on our Facebook page when we have food to share - along with directions on how to sign up.
Unfortunately our rescue is at max capacity and unable to take surrenders at this time. Please email Kitchenerstraycatrescue@gmail.com to be put on our waitlist.
We understand situations occur where you can no longer keep your cat. All surrenders must sign a surrender agreement and pay a $100 surrendering fee. This fee covers a portion of the cost of a vet exam for your pet.
We do not turn away cats due to medical issues. You are obligated to disclose your cats medical history, current health status and if they are fixed. Failure to do so could result in signification health problems for your pet as well as putting the shelter cats a risk. We do not judge - we just need to be able to help, care for and treat these cats the best we can.
